Meursault, Burgundy, France, Aug 27: For more than 170 years, Hästens has strived to make the world a better, more joyful, and loving place through extraordinary sleep experiences, crafting high-quality sleep systems for those who invest in themselves to be their very best. As part of this passionate endeavour, Hästens has collaborated with the newly opened Maison Le Chevreuil in the heart of Burgundy, the first hotel in France to be furnished throughout with Hästens handcrafted sleep systems.

Following an extensive two-year restoration, Maison Le Chevreuil has opened its doors in the celebrated wine village of Meursault. Located on the village square opposite the historic town hall and church, the boutique property brings together contemporary hospitality, outstanding gastronomy and the timeless spirit of Burgundy. Designed as an open house for both travellers and locals, the ten-room retreat offers a place to reconnect with the slower rhythm of vineyard life while experiencing thoughtful design, authentic craftsmanship and restorative sleep.
Because exceptional hospitality begins with exceptional sleep, every guest room has been appointed with Hästens handcrafted sleep systems. Eight rooms feature the iconic Hästens 2000T, while two suites are furnished with the Hästens Maranga, each handmade in Köping, Sweden using only the finest natural materials, including horsehair, cotton, wool, flax and slow-grown Swedish pine. Entirely handcrafted by Hästens certified master craftsmen, each bed is designed to regulate body temperature naturally, relieve pressure and provide unparalleled comfort night after night.
The Hästens 2000T represents one of the brand's most celebrated sleep systems, crafted using generations of knowledge and exceptional handcraftsmanship. The Maranga combines the same natural materials and meticulous construction to create a beautifully balanced sleeping experience, ensuring every guest awakens fully restored.
"We wanted Maison Le Chevreuil to become a destination where every element contributes to genuine wellbeing," said Johanna Leserre, Architect & Designer of Maison Le Chevreuil. "Sleep is the foundation of every memorable stay, and partnering with Hästens reflects our commitment to offering guests an experience that combines the finest craftsmanship with authentic hospitality. Every room has been thoughtfully designed to encourage complete rest, allowing guests to reconnect with themselves while immersed in the beauty of Burgundy."
"Burgundy is built on the conviction that patience, place, and generations of craft create what no shortcut ever can. That is exactly how we make our sleep systems. Maison Le Chevreuil is where these two philosophies meet: a house rooted in its village, its winemakers, and its community, offering guests a night of sleep they will measure every other night against,” says James Aschberger, Chief Strategic Growth Officer at Hästens.
Designed around the culture and craftsmanship of Burgundy, each of Maison Le Chevreuil's ten guest rooms combines custom-designed furniture, warm wine-inspired interiors and views across the vineyards or historic village square. Alongside Hästens sleep systems, guests can enjoy locally crafted amenities, bespoke La Chênaie toiletries, generous living spaces and carefully considered design details inspired by the surrounding wine region. The property also features TERRE, its signature restaurant celebrating open-fire cooking and seasonal Burgundian produce, together with a wine bar, outdoor terraces and heated swimming pool, creating a destination devoted to complete restoration.
